• What is it?

    • It contains a mixture of vitamin C and minerals such as Magnesium or Calcium

What symptoms or conditions does it benefit?

    • Fatigue and chronic fatigue (including adrenal fatigue)

    • Allergies/viral infections/colds/flus

    • Fibromyalgia

    • Symptoms related to detoxification therapies

    • Help with stress and stress response (ex. Illnesses or surgery)

  •  Who can benefit from it?

    • Most everyone can benefit from Vitamin C IVs.

  •  Why IV and not oral?

    • Oral supplements that we recommend are highly absorbable, but everything you swallow must be processed by your gut and your liver before your body’s cells can use it. The IV bypasses that “processing” and makes the nutrients readily available to your cells for use

  • How long does it take?

    • Approximately 30 minutes up to 3+ hours depending on the dose. The initial IV will take slightly longer, as we want to be sure you tolerate it well.

  • What preparations need to be made prior to having the IV?

    • Be sure to eat a full meal (protein meal) and drink water ahead of the appointment. Please bring a snack and water to the appointment as you may feel thirsty and blood sugar levels can be affected. No other preparation needed.

    • Specific labs must be done prior. Will be discussed with provider/staff prior to infusion.

  • What else may be added to your IV?

    • If ordered by Michelle, an injection of B12 or glutathione for the liver may be added to your IV protocol depending on your needs.

We often recommend this for patients who are struggling with the above symptoms. We also recommend it once your nutrient panel results have been reviewed, as a way to help boost your system’s deficiencies.
